Honor of Kings: Leo Darma Skin Launches March 29, But Does It Look Too Much Like Sagittarius?

Get ready, Kings! The official Honor of Kings Weibo has just dropped the March schedule, and eagle-eyed fans have spotted two special markers. The black scholar’s cap on the 7th signifies the arrival of Zhuang Zhou’s “Wonderful Natural History” skin. More excitingly, the star chart for the constellation Leo all but confirms that the highly anticipated Leo skin for Darma will be launching on March 29.
A Stellar Collaboration Continues
This crossover event with Saint Seiya, another popular mobile game under the Tencent umbrella, is becoming a fantastic tradition. The previous collaboration gave us Hou Yi’s Gold Sagittarius skin, which was widely praised for its top-tier visual effects and satisfying in-game feel. For the Saint Seiya half-anniversary celebration, six major (benefits/welfare events) are planned, with this new skin collaboration being a centerpiece.
Why Darma is the Perfect Leo
The Leo constellation on the schedule is the biggest clue. In the Saint Seiya lore, the Leo Gold Saint’s signature move is the Lightning Plasma—a series of devastating light-speed punches. When you look for a hero in the Kings’ Canyon whose entire kit revolves around powerful, rapid-fire fists, the answer is obvious: Darma. This makes the official launch of his “Gold Leo” skin on the 29th practically confirmed.
Darma’s Skin History: A Thirst for Quality
Up until now, Darma has been severely overlooked in the skin department. He has only two: the beloved 6-coin “Fist King” skin, which recently had a comeback event and is considered one of the most (conscience/good value) skins for its price, and the “Great Inventor” skin of Warrior quality, which pales in comparison. This new Leo skin will not only break his dry spell but is also highly likely to be of Legendary quality, a massive upgrade for the monk.
Design Breakdown: Glorious, But Familiar
Leaked design images have already set the community abuzz. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are impressive, with a high degree of accuracy to the original Leo Gold Saint armor. However, many players have noted its striking resemblance to Hou Yi’s Gold Sagittarius skin. The core aesthetic of radiant gold armor is almost identical. The key differences are the swap of golden wings for a majestic white cape and the exchange of a bow for formidable iron fists. While the details differ, the overall golden, divine warrior theme is very similar. The final in-game model and skill effects will ultimately determine its uniqueness and worth.
The Ultimate Question: Is It Worth It?
From a purely meta perspective, perhaps not—for now. Darma isn’t currently a top-tier pick in the side lane, and his phenomenal 6-coin Fist King skin already offers incredible value. shelling out a premium for a Legendary skin for a non-meta hero is a tough ask for many. However, the true value for Leo enthusiasts and Darma mains will be in its collectibility, the potential for future hero buffs, and of course, that undeniable legendary status. Hopefully, the full reveal of its skill effects and animations will be dazzling enough to change our minds.
Will you be adding the power of the lion to your arsenal later this month?
